02Data we collect
We only collect data you actively share with us. No data is collected without your knowledge.
Contact / retreat application form
Our retreat enquiry form uses your own email client (mailto:) — no data is stored on our servers. The message reaches us only when you press send from your inbox.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep only your email address to send you updates. Unsubscribe in 1 click from any email.
Donations
Donations are processed exclusively by HelloAsso (see section 3). Rejoice does not collect or store any banking data.
03HelloAsso donations — embedded form (iframe)
Since May 2026, the HelloAsso donation form is embedded directly within our site as an iframe. This integration improves your browsing experience but loads third-party content from HelloAsso servers when you open the donation window.
Who collects your data during a donation?
The entire donation flow is handled by HelloAsso (HelloAsso SAS, 79 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris, France), acting as an independent data controller for payment operations and tax-receipt generation. Rejoice only receives donation notifications (amount, donor identity, optional message) and never receives your banking data.

Cookies set by the HelloAsso iframe
When you open the donation window on our site, the HelloAsso iframe may set third-party cookies on your device — only after you interact with it (clicking a "Donate" button). These cookies are necessary for payment processing and transaction security.
As long as you do not open the donation window, no HelloAsso content is loaded and no third-party cookie is set.

05Recipients
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It may only be shared with the following recipients:
- Authorized members of Rejoice — to handle your requests
- HelloAsso — for donation processing (see section 3)
- Our website host — for technical site delivery
- Public authorities — only on lawful request
06Retention periods
- Contact requests: 3 years after our last exchange
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
- Donation records (Rejoice): 6 years (accounting & tax obligations — French art. L. 102 B LPF)
- Payment data (HelloAsso): per HelloAsso's policy & applicable legal periods
07Cookies & trackers
The site rejoice.ngo sets no analytics or advertising cookies. No marketing tracking tool (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.) is integrated.
The only third-party cookies that may be set come from the HelloAsso iframe, and only after you have opened the donation window (see section 3).
YouTube and Vimeo videos, when you click to play them, may also set cookies — managed by their respective publishers.
08Your rights
Under articles 15–22 of the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data:
- Right of access — get a copy of data about you
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to object to processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to withdraw consent at any time

09Security & transfers outside the EU
Rejoice.ngo is served over HTTPS. Communication with HelloAsso is also HTTPS, and payments use standard banking protocols (3D Secure).
Your data is not transferred outside the European Union by Rejoice. For transfers possibly performed by HelloAsso or video hosts (YouTube / Vimeo), please refer to their respective policies.
